FSST: OrangAsli & Durian

“The Elves of our Land”
This module is the advance stage learning about the original people of our land and their way of life. It is an in depth journey into understanding the mystical and valuable wisdom of the Orang Asli / Lauts of Singapore. Through the Durian (Singaporean’s favourite seasonal food), we seek to understand Nature’s rhythm and how we can sync with all these wisdom. 

Content & Agenda of Training Module

(i) LEARN: Indigenous Wisdom
Objective: Understanding the rhythm and relationship of the land and people, through the eyes and ways of the Orang Asli / Lauts, aboriginal people of Singapore.

a. Tropical Rhythm
Learning about the way of life according to Tropical seasons.

b. How a child grows
Learning about the way of life of a child growing up in the Orang Asli days.

c. Balance of Life
Learning about the way of life that allow harmonious living with Nature

d. Connected to the Land
Learning about the way of life in Guardianship with the Forest

(ii) WALK: Durian
Objective: Learn about the Durian rhythm of the land and her elements

a. Durian Season
Learning about Durian growth and season in Singapore
