Stewards of Nature (AAU x FSS)

Stewards of Nature” is an Experiential Learning (One-Day Camp) conducted and curated by Animals and Us Academy & Forest School Singapore. It is a drop-off only program. We will have an indoor-outdoor program this round, that will include the morning part of the camp indoor at KAP Mall, with veterinarians and animal education professionals from Animals and Us Academy. Afternoon part of the camp will be led by the Coaching Team from Forest School Singapore, at the legendary Clementi Forest.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

  • Appreciate that Singapore has significant biodiversity and wildlife 
  • Recognise that humans are an inextricable part of Nature
  • Describe some flora and fauna species found in Singapore
  • Understand how human activities may compromise their survival and how we can mitigate them
  • Demonstrate respect, stewardship, connection, empathy and appropriate interactions with flora and fauna in the Natural world
  • Discuss key issues pertaining to achieving Singapore’s unique City-in-Nature vision
  • Discuss issues surrounding achieving a balance between human activities and Nature

Drop Off and Pick Up: 
Drop-Off @ King Albert Park Mall (indoors)
Pick Up @ Sunset Way (outdoors)

Food (Lunch):
Participants will be purchasing their own food/supply with the budget given by us at the Hawker Centre nearby during lunch. They will learn how to manage their budget while selecting their choice of food and drink for lunch. It is a great opportunity for them to learn independence with the support from their teachers & coaches.
(Anyone with specific dietary restriction that will not be able to consume local hawker food, are advised to bring their own Food)
