Sponsorship Support is a division of Forest School Singapore, that will be channeled to support the Outreach and Research work of F.S.S.
The goal is to financially sustain our local researches about Forest School and Education. We want our research efforts to be unfettered by conditions of organisations or grants, and for the research pace to be unaffected by uneven disbursement of grant resources or copious paperwork.
The financial resources accumulated through the Sponsorship channel will also support the Outreach capacity of Forest School Singapore, in Bringing the Forest to the People through our Clinic tour of various neighbourhood in Singapore.
This is our Goals
For 108 Singapore Public Community Centres (CC) to have their own Forest School / FS-like initiatives, led and managed by the people living around the CC.
For 353 Singapore Public Ministry of Education (MOE) Schools to have their own Forest School / FS-like initiatives, led by a dedicated team of Educators.
Develop a strong foundation of Forest School Training in the Southeast Asia region, that represents our land, culture, people and history.
Your support will enable us to…
- Outreach to communities & populations beyond our existing reach.
- Conduct Forest School Trainings that fit our Malayan Archipelago context.
- Shine light through research on people and issues in Forest School communities.
- Challenge and evolve the existing Forest School practices in accordance with the rhythms of the land .
Your sponsorship sustains the following tracts of work…
1. Weekly Forest School Training Clinic Tours to Community Centres and MOE Schools, to bring Forest School approach closer to the population, seeding the possibilities of nature-based interventions against the ills of indoorification and screen-focused lifestyles
2. Forest School and Education Research

“The Earth’s Spine: Examining Educational Frameworks and Ways of Life in Forest School Singapore”
3. Outreach and Projects, e.g. when we conduct Forest School training and mentorships with Community Youth Networks, Staff/Befrienders of non-profit organisations, or Parents leading their own Nature Play sessions.
4. Social Pricing Concessions, which makes our programs accessible for those who are less resourced.
This is the Sponsorship Support Arrangement :
- We have a fixed sponsorship rate of SGD$99 per person per year only.
- We do not accept any amount more or any amount less.
- If you wish to give more, do share and ask other friends to sponsor together.
- If you wish to give less, do share and ask other friends to sponsor together.
- FSS is not a charity. As such, the sponsorship support amount given is not tax-deductible, and we do not have a 1:1 matching grant.
- The Sponsorship Support amount and uses will be tracked and updated to all sponsors yearly, with a quarterly highlight sharing report on our on-goings.
We intentionally put in a fixed sponsorship rate, so that the whole sponsorship effort is funded collectively by the people, for the people. We don’t have to always rely on the big grants and funds to move the needle of change in our society. We can do it too.
