F.S.S. Social Pricing

This is an option that adjusts the prices of the programs under Forest School Singapore, enabling participants from all socio-economic backgrounds to access the programs. All parents, educators and practitioners should have the opportunity to experience our programs regardless of backgrounds.

Why Social Pricing ?

I was first introduced to the idea of Social pricing mechanism when I was in a Philippines Forest School in Davao, Mindanao in December 2015. I saw how the children of expats, with average income above USD$5000, and the children of trishaw riders, some of whom have income below the poverty line, were in the same compound attending the same forest school classes. This inspired me to bring this to my own Forest School endeavours. When I came back, I did more research on the mechanism and adapted it to suit the local socio-economic context.
